The Apple Vision VR headset was released for pre-orders on Friday, and all of the units sold out (~80,000 units).
MANG (Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Google) are now the biggest VCs in town, although much of it is financed in compute credits.
Meta/Facebook is going all in on AI and their Llama 3 model, reportedly purchasing 600,000 H100s to train it on (~$20B in value).
The Supreme Court denied both sides’ appeals of the Epic v. Apple antitrust case, letting developers use outside payment links in the Apple ecosystem. However it seems like a heavy tax will be placed on using outside payment methods, making this a moot victory.
Although FICO is a data monopoly in the consumer finance category, there are some cracks showing.
