🗞️ Tech News Last Week
Gitlab filed to go public via their S-1. The company is doing $233M in revenue, growing 69% with over 3,600 customers. Their overall revenue is low (compared to benchmarks) but their net revenue retention is best in class.
Mailchimp was acquired by Intuit for $12B, but controversially none of its employees had any equity.
Amazon is bringing its cashierless payments (just walk out and pay later) to Whole Foods next year.
Apple lost $85B in value, because of the (potential) ramifications of Apple needing to open its App Store to other payment providers.
